The first business lunch since the new year was held at the LYINC with 20 members and a few new faces. Xavière Castano from Crossject was our guest speaker and she enthralled the room with her fascinating story of innovation and perseverance. So much so, that she nearly didn’t have time to eat her own lunch given the avalanche of questions at the end !
Xavière demonstrated how Xeneo Emergency needle-free injections work, and took us through the intricate 20 year R&D roller coaster to a point where they are finally ready to market this amazing product on a fully international scale. We’re very grateful to her for coming all the way from Dijon to share her story with us.
At the end of the lunch Tim HUGHES (FIBA’s 2nd president and current committee member) thanked Philip Last for his 6 year presidency and praised him for his hard work in building FIBA’s reputation as an active and very professional business network. Philip was presented with a gift and a card that had been signed by the members.
Prior to the lunch, we held our AGM and Philip presented his annual report, the accounts (prepared by our treasurer Michel Bouzigues), and the committee’s designation of the new president, Rachel Maury.
