This year’s FIBA golf day was unusually held in May versus the more traditional October date (cancelled due to bad weather last autumn). Spring 2024 hasn’t been much better, but despite a wet week, over 40 golfers from the Lyinc and FIBA met at Mionnay under a blue sky and blazing sunshine.
After the welcomes and reminders of the rules of the day, partners were identified in our mixed groups of four and we enjoyed an excellent day in the stunning surroundings of Mionnay Golf Club. While conditions were wet under foot, even on some of the fairways, the good humour among a very international crowd prevailed!
The FIBA Golf trophy was won by Ian Russell and Khelil Kchouk for the best net and brut score.
Corinne Gavaudan and Yvan Burghgraeve (President of the Belgian business club) were runners up to Ian and Khelil.
Cyril Vandenberghe, Sales Director at Tisseray, won the nearest the pin.
Congratulations to all and special thanks to our organizers, Tim Hughes (FIBA) and Frédéric Arragon (LYINC).
