FIBA Events

A summer evening of international networking whilst competing in an inter club pétanque tournament. We will be joining forces once again with the Belgian and Dutch business clubs for this event which will take place on Place Bourgeneuf on the banks of the Saône. There will be prizes for the winning team and the apéro will be supplied by Epicerie PATATE. The buffet includes charcuterie from Maison Duculty, cheeses from the Laiterie de Lyon, craft beers from Two Hats, and organic rosé. Join us for an informal meeting over breakfast at Kafé Stockholm (Parking – place Terreaux) where we will discuss ideas for future events and ask you what you’re looking for from the club. There will also be a chance to share your news with other members.

A Globetrotter’s guide to RAYONS X

Scientist and researcher Eric Maire has travelled the world to lecture on the hot topic of 3D Xray imaging and other more complicated subjects and now heads the MatéIS laboratory at the CNRS. He will be giving us an insight into his world (which includes research, applied sciences, playing bass guitar in a band and building his own house in his spare time) at our first breakfast meeting at the lYINC on the 30th March.

We are organising this speed networking event together with BCCI Lille and TBE Toulouse. All that is required from you is one free evening, a web browser, an apéro (optional) and the desire to make some new contacts. The system introduces you to someone and you have five minutes to chat with them. At the end of the five minutes it moves you both on to meet someone new.You get to meet a lot of people quite quickly, tell them about yourself, learn about them and build your network.
